Citizenship and Community are Important

Teaching the boys about citizenship and community involvement are important. We are always looking for ways to spark an interest in local events as well as national and to instill an understanding of issues and happenings involving the community were they live. The images below show the packs (and the boy scouts) involvement in the New Bloomfield Memorial Day parade earlier this year.

But the scouts also work hard in other community assignments that help them with their Cub Scout achievements. The pack also collected soda tabs to give to the Ronald McDonald house. To motivate them, the Den that collected the most tabs got the throw cream pies in the face of the pack leaders at our spring camp out. (click to see larger image)
