Every spring we spend a weekend at Camp Hidden Valley in Loysville, PA. The Scouts camp with the pack along with their families in tents and cabins and participate in a weekend filled with non-stop fun and learning (See some pictures of the kids at camp). This past spring we had a Survivor weekend following the theme from the reality TV show. The pack was divided up into four tribes and were led through the grounds to various "stations" throughout the day on Saturday. They learned how to build bird houses and shoot a BB Gun. They learned how to identify various kinds of fresh water fish and give first aid with just a tee shirt. One station even had a contest where the kids had to eat things like they might have to eat on a deserted island. Every spring camp features a massive obstacle course that the kids help set up and then they run it. It is a huge test of endurance and agility. On the last day, Sunday morning, the kids are given a religous devotional to bring the weekend to a close.
